SIA RideLondon 2019

A huge thank you from everyone at SIA. Our fantastic team of 35 cyclists and hand cyclists who braved RideLondon 2019 yesterday were amazing. We are so proud of you!

Yesterday, our largest ever team cycled to support spinal cord injured people. It really did show with many people commenting on the number of SIA jersies amongst the cyclists – we even got some great coverage on the live TV broadcast.

As well as raising awareness of spinal cord injury, the team raised over £16,000. This amazing sum will make a life-changing difference in the lives of SCI people across the UK. We can’t thank our cyclists, their families and friends, donors and all who helped enough.

A fantastic crowd supported our team  – aided by our team of volunteers on the day. A huge thank you to all of Team SIA who shouted, cheered, waved pom poms and did their best to make all of our riders feel appreciated as they neared the end of their mammoth challenge.

A special thank you to our top fundraisers on the day: David Hird, who is on track to reach almost £1000, Steve Montgomery, our first RideLondon 19 mile handcyclist who quadrupled his fundraising target, a team from our Corporate Members Osbornes Law who have raised almost £3400 so far, and last but not least, the “Magnificent Seven” from our good friends at ROkIT Williams Racing, who whose fundraising efforts are fast approaching £4000. It was a real privilege to have you all there with us.

See below a gallery of photos from the day and keep an eye on our social media channels for plenty of photos, some special shout outs, and some news about next years event (roll on RideLondon 2020)!
