SIA and your personal data

No doubt you’ve been receiving plenty of messages about GDPR (General Data Protection Regulations) and I’m afraid this is another! GDPR is a good news story though as the new regulations give all of us more rights and control over how organisations use our data.

One of the biggest changes is that organisations have to tell us more about what data they collect, where it comes from and how they are going to use it. SIA has always taken seriously how we look after your data and privacy, and we have updated our Data Privacy Policy to provide you with this further information. You may also notice that many of our forms have got a little bit longer. That’s because organisations need to be more precise in asking your permission on using your details.
