Remember a loved one
Donating in celebration of the life of your loved one creates a legacy for them and supports spinal cord injured people.
I’m pleased to have been able to give something back on behalf of my mum for the support we received from Susie at SIA and everyone involved in her spinal cord injury care over the years.
Each gift we receive in memory is unique and speaks of the love for the person in whose remembrance it is given. By donating in memory of a loved one, they become a lifeline for spinal cord injured people, and so do you.
‘I’m pleased to have been able to give something back on behalf of my mum for the support we received from Susie at SIA and everyone involved in her spinal cord injury care over the years. It’s been really heart-warming at such a sad time to see so many generous donations from my family and friends; it eased the pain of my first birthday without my mum there to celebrate with me.’
A lasting tribute
Creating personalised online tribute pages for loved ones is a beautiful way to celebrate their life while supporting us. These websites are a space where you, family and friends can share memories, photos and messages to remember that special person.
Reading the messages can be a source of great comfort, as too can knowing that any money raised through the page will help spinal cord injured people and their families lead fulfilled lives.
Creating a tribute page is simple. We’ve partnered with MuchLoved, a registered charity that helps people create memorial webpages, to make it even easier. Once the page is set up, you can invite family and friends to light a virtual candle, share memories, notes and photos and make a donation.
Donations in lieu of funeral flowers
Donations to us instead of funeral flowers can help change the lives of spinal cord injured people, improving access to the support and care they so desperately need and deserve.
By requesting donations at a loved one’s funeral service, you can take comfort in knowing that these gifts will help us keep fighting for fulfilled lives for all spinal cord injured people.
Ask your funeral director about making donations to us, or you can collect and send them to us yourself using a credit or debit card or by making a cheque payable to Spinal Injuries Association.
If you’d like to speak to somebody about donations, please call our supporter care team on 01908 604191 or email [email protected].
We’re honoured to have supported our members through their lives with spinal cord injuries, so we have created an online space to pay tribute to those we’ve lost.
