Travel with confidence update

We recently launched an exciting new project called “Travel with confidence” which was made possible through funding from the Motability Foundation.

The project so far

We have collaborated with various travel providers, healthcare professionals, and wheelchair services to evaluate the available information on assistance, travel schemes, videos, and fact sheets. Our goal is to compile all this information into an easily accessible format and integrate it as a new module in the knowledge hub. This will provide you with relevant information for booking days out, holidays, or even wheelchair assessments, enhancing your travel experience.

 

During June and July, we distributed surveys to thousands of our members and conducted focus groups to understand what is important to people with spinal cord injury when travelling. Over the next few months, we will design the web page and create content based on the feedback we received. We plan to launch the new module in May 2025. This will also inform us of the areas we should be campaigning for in 2025.
