#RightsOnFlights campaign takes off
TV presenter Sophie Morgan and MP Marion Fellows have been joined by the charity Disability Rights UK in demanding that the Government gives the Civil Aviation Authority more powers to fine airlines and other companies who fail in their obligations to support disabled travellers.
Whether it’s assistance not being properly provided, being left alone on aircraft long after landing, or having essential mobility equipment damaged or broken, each disabled traveller has their own story to tell. The initial aim of the campaign is to gather support; disabled people and supporters are being asked to write to their MP to ask them to support the campaign.
MPs contact details and a draft template letter can both be found on the Disability Rights UK website
