Jacqui’s SIA Raffle

Jacqui sustained her injury in 2009 when she fell down the stairs and broke her neck incurring a C4/5 life changing spinal cord injury.

At the time Jacqui’s children, George & Sadie, were aged just 3 and 5 and her husband Alan, an Army officer posted in Afghanistan, had to become a full-time dad whilst she remained in hospital for 6 months.

Jacqui said:

Even for those of us fortunate enough to walk again, the complexities of SCI mean that life will never be the same again. Reduced lung function, altered sensation from the neck down (each day I have to be careful not to burn or cut myself badly without realising), chronic fatigue, low blood pressure, daily bladder & bowel complications, frequent UTIs, reduced kidney function, delayed healing, neuropathic pain, a fear of water (its touch hurts!), the body’s inability to moderate its temperature & the risk of autonomic dysreflexia, are just some of the symptoms which I live with each day’

These are some of the reasons why Jacqui continues to raise money to help other families like hers whose lives are turned upside down as a result of SCI. This is her third year of continued support and this year’s prizes are bigger and better than ever, with over 5 winners don’t miss your chance to win from a range of prizes from a holiday home in Portugal to bundles worth over £1000.  Click on the link below to enter for just £10:
