Campaigns team – all change!

It’s all change in our campaigns team!

Having bid farewell in the summer to Joss, our Parliamentary and public affairs coordinator, when he left us to enjoy pastures new at The Food Foundation , we welcomed Glyn Hayes to the team in August. Glyn is a former councillor and army veteran, who sustained a spinal cord injury at T5 in 2017 following a motorbike accident. Unable to continue in his career as a bus mechanic, he returned to the workforce in 2022 as an Independent Living Advisor at Aspire, before bringing his skills and experience to SIA. In addition, Dave Bracher has been promoted and is now our Head of people and operations.

His replacement as Campaigns manager is Dharshana Sridhar, who starts work for us at the beginning of September. Dharshana is very well versed in how Parliament operates and working with Ministers and MPs, having spent almost twenty years working across central Government drafting policy papers and taking forward significant legislations. She has also worked for a number of years in Downing Street, advising successive Prime Ministers. Dharshana is active in her local community and internationally, working to help eradicate bigotry and prejudice, nurture respectfulness and humaneness, and break down the numerous barriers and battles the most vulnerable in the community face.
