Congratulations and a big thank you to all the riders in the BCG Sportive 2019

We are very pleased to announce that Broughton Cycling Group (BCG) who are local to our base in Milton Keynes chose us as one of the two charities to receive funding from their annual event – BCG Sportive 2019.  Our nomination as an official charity recipient of their fundraising came through Rosanna Stimson, who previously took part in the Milton Keynes Half Marathon for us in 2018.  Rosanna has a close friend who is SCI and has seen how invaluable the support SIA offers can be.

More than 400 riders completed the cycling challenge on Sunday 2 June.  The event, which is in its fourth year, offered riders a choice of three different routes – the new Cheeky 25-mile, the Classic 50-mile and the Epic 75-mile – all around the stunning villages surrounding Milton Keynes, Bucks and Beds.  In total the day raised just over £2400 to be split between SIA and local charity MK SNAP, and BCG, topped the donation up to make sure we both received £1250.

A very big thank you goes to all the riders and in particular to Rosanna.
