SIA Trusted Partner badge

Why Choose us?

Our aim is to provide exceptional live-in care and companionship for people who need help and support while living life to the full, with a spinal injury.

Our complex care team are trained to the highest level. They are here to offer a professional and compassionate, person-centred service.

A spinal cord injury (SCI) can happen in the blink of an eye but can have life-changing consequences. Alongside the obvious physical effects of an SCI, the hidden impact on emotional and mental health requires equal care and attention, for the person being cared for and their family.

It’s vitally important that the right care is provided to help clients return to the highest level of function and independence possible, whilst improving their overall quality of life – physically, emotionally, and socially.

Please watch the video below to find out more about how we can support you, or a loved one with expert live-in care:

Offering bespoke care to SCI clients – as standard!

We understand the multiple challenges when caring for someone with an SCI. With the right care, our clients with spinal cord injuries continue to stay in their own home, and lead fulfilling, active, and independent lives.

As part of our spinal care service, we try to be creative in the way we care. This includes:

  • Matching the carer to our clients and including our clients in the interview process if wanted
  • An ever-fluid care plan, which can be adjusted daily based on our clients needs
  • Organising off site accommodation for carers if clients want privacy, or lack living space
  • Consistency of care, building a solid team of carers trained to our clients individual needs
  • Spinal specialist carers trained by The Spinal Injuries Association and Stoke Mandeville.
  • Appointed supervisor in place to oversee the delivery of care.
  • Clinical lead with mental health expertise to assist with adjustment to living with a spinal injury.

What we do:

Eximius deliver a fully managed service, which means we support every need associated with the delivery of care.

The carers are employed by us so we are responsible for any employment law issues and all payment issues. Because we have a very experienced and fully qualified support and management team, you can be confident you are in safe hands.

With access to a private GP and a professional team of clinical lead nurses, the care we offer is of the highest standard.

Carers are also required to document the administration of medication on a secure electronic system. This helps carers monitor intake and reassures the client’s family that their loved one is being looked after.
