Lichfield community group

Thursday 25 July 2024

About this event

Our local community groups are a great way of connecting to other SCI people, their friends and families and they offer regular opportunities to socialise.

Lichfield spinal cord injury community group usually meets on the last Thursday of every month from 2pm-4pm.

For more details contact Brendan Fitzgerald

UPDATE: in attendance at this group will be members of the SIA Travel with Confidence team for an in person focus group about accessible travel. A great opportunity to share your own thoughts, ideas and experiences to support us in the discovery phase of this vital project. Find out more about the project HERE

Meet Your Host – Brendan Fitzgerald

Hello! My name is Brendan and I’m your SIA regional support coordinator in the West Midlands.

I was injured in 1998 as a result of a fall from a wall. I sustained a C5/6 spinal cord injury and spent a year at Stoke Mandeville Hospital. It’s left me with limited mobility and sensation from the shoulders down.

If you’ve recently become injured, already living with a spinal cord injury, or are close to someone who is, you’re in the right place.
